3D Printer: Make an appointment

Have a project you'd like us to print? Here's how to get started:

  1. Check our 3D Printer Use Procedures & Policy.
  2. Make an appointment to bring your project file to the San Luis Obispo Library Children's department. 

This is a DIY project. Please call the Children's department at 805-781-5775 with any questions.

  • Your appointment is scheduled from opening until 30 minutes before closing. Late arrivals will need to reschedule.
  • Persons wanting to use the 3D printer shall bring their file in a USB drive (in .stl or .obj format)
  • Size and time requirements: No larger than 25 MB. Print should be no more than 6” inches wide by 6” inches long by 6” inches in height and a maximum of 4 hours to print.
  • One print job per person per week.
  • Please come up to the Children's Area on the 2nd floor of the SLO Library.
