Event Details

This May we celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month with special showings of two films by acclaimed Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. The first showing is “Throne of Blood” a film that shows why Kurosawa is known as the master of Samurai films. In this reimagining of “Macbeth” two Samurai are stopped by a spirit on their way to their master’s castle and told their futures. When the prophecy comes true the wife of one of the men convinces him to speed up his destiny, but this may have disastrous consequences.
