Join local author Elizabeth "Liz" Moore as she discusses her book, 3 Sisters, 3 Weeks, 3 Countries (Still Talking).

ABOUT THE BOOK:

3 Sisters, 3 Weeks, 3 Countries (Still Talking) is a memoir of the author's trip to Ireland, England, and Scotland with her two sisters. All three now retired, they decided they should take a trip together and perhaps a good way to do this is for each sister to choose a country and to plan for that week of their travel. Navigating family dynamics is not always easy and adding close quarters every day along with the stress of traveling can be challenging. This memoir explores the present and the past family connections and how that influences their relationship on the trip and afterwards. The book serves to remind that there is still plenty to do and see in the third act of life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Elizabeth "Liz" Moore Kraus and her husband spent ten years raising their young son Brent-Stig in Creston, San Luis Obispo County. Now living in Ventura for over 30 years, where their son now raises his family, the Central Coast remains a source of wonderful memories and they try to visit often.

At the age of 42, Liz enrolled in Ventura College and went on to earn her M.A. in English Literature. She returned to VC to teach for twenty years then retired. It was during retirement and covid lock-down that provided Liz the opportunity to write this memoir. She is currently working on two more books and is back to teaching at VC.
